Essie Skinny Dip 0.5 oz #1122

I just opened the box that I received with the nail polish however, I received the wrong color. I had ordered color 1001 but that is not what I received. I will be keeping the one I received but would still like to get the one that I ordered.

The quality and color are just right.

Essie Skinny Dip is a sheer peachy pink polish from the Wild Nudes collection. I was specifically looking for a natural looking sheer polish and this one was easy to work with just looks healthy and clean on the nail.For me the peach undertone in this polish was good for my complexion and a better match to my nail bed than some of the more pink nudes.

Skin Deep is a neutral pink shade: a light-medium warm pink with a subtle icy grey'd pearl shimmer. The very slight grey'd tone to this pink keeps it from being bubble-gum bright, and makes it very wearable as a tip color for me, even in a business setting. It's girly, without looking teeny bopper-ish/Barbie. The very slight muted tone is perfect against my olive skintone (pure pink toned shades tend to be a bit too bright, and I reserve them as pedi colors only, but I can wear Skin Deep easily on my tips). If you like pinks, Skin Deep is definitely one to add to your collection. It's day 4 of wear, and so far, so good.

After months of dark or bright colors on my toes, wearing this color is refreshing. Skin Deep is a opaque creamy baby pink with a slight pearl to it. If you want to wear this on your hands, I recommend only one coat in order to sheer down the bubble-gum aspect of it. I prefer this color on my toes. Two coats will give you a subtle, creamy, baby pink with a slight pearl finish to it. If you want more of a bubble gum pink, use three coats. Essie writes that "This vivacious pink adds a touch of color to neutral wardrobes." I love it, it's not really unique but it's a great color nonetheless. I feel like Spring has finally arrived with this color on my toes. Skin Deep is from Essie's 2005 Spring collection, 'Bare Necessities.'
