I was excited to add this old OPI fav to my collection. However, a day or two after the gel polish was applied at my nail salon the color faded unevenly and looks really bad!
I’m not sure if it’s a defective (or perhaps expired?) bottle, but this gel polish is not performing correctly. In the photo, the purple color at the tips is the correct shade and the grey-ish color everywhere else is what the purple faded to a couple days after application.
Purple Palazzo Pants is a lovely pinky-lilac shade which was released as part of OPI's Venice collection in 2015. It is similar to OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender, but not as bright and not as pink. You could definitely justify owning both. It has a lovely formula, though was a bit thinner than I am used to from OPI. Despite this, I still reached full opacity in two coats and did not have any issues with the colour running, or applying patchily or streakily. It dried very quickly, and to a shiny finish. The colour is very pretty, I got a lot of compliments when wearing it. Despite being purple based, it has enough pink in it to be passable in more conservative environments. It would be flattering on all skin tones, though I think it would look especially striking on darker skin tones. I enjoy how it looks on my NC15 skin however. It lasted for about 4-5 days without chipping or tipwear when paired with base and top coat on par with my other OPI polishes. I love purple polishes and this one is no exception, it is my favourite from the Venice collection and I highly recommend it.
I'm definitely becoming an OPI fan, Purple Palazzo Pants is a lovely true lilac on me and I'm glad it doesn't lean towards grey at all. The formula is fantastic, applies evenly and needs two coats for full coverage.
Purple Palazzo Pants is from OPI Venice Collection 2015. It's a light lilac cream polish. I thought the formula was very good, perfect coverage in 2 coats. It wears well and the slight tip wear after a couple of days is not visible, due to the lightness of the colour. I expected the colour to look more lilac on the nail, but it was leaning pink in some lighting and sometimes it almost looked nude. Straight after I applied it i had to check the name label, as I thought I picked up Lucky Lucky Lavender by mistake they are not dissimilar. Unfortunately, colours like this give me 'lobster hands'. It was a nice palette cleansing polish, but not something I would wear for a long period of time. Even though I would not repurchase this polish for myself, I am sure it will appeal to many, especially since the formula is very good.
Such a lovely shade of lilac! The shade reminds me a lot of Essie Nice is Nice, only Purple Palazzo Pants is slightly darker and leans a bit more pink. I have always loved the shade of Nice is Nice, but it often streaks. However, Purple Palazzo Pants hardly ever looks streaky on nails. I believe that might be due to OPI's wider brush. The lasting power of the polish is good, 4 to 5 days depending on the top coat. I need two coats to get opaque results which is pretty impressive with pastel colours. The finish is creme.PPP is part of Venice collection, so I'll definitely buy another bottle while I still can.
