I think Wyatt Earple Purple is overated. I don't particularly find this color exciting. It's shimmer with purple/greyish tone in it. May be because I am olive tone, that's why the color looks a bit off on my nails. I will probably wear this once a year but it doesn't really stand out whatsoever. However, the application is very good. The downside is it chips very easily.
This color was terrible on me.
This color was terrible on me. I'm not sure what I was thinking when I bought this. I have warm yellow skin, and this is a cool lavender-taupe color. I cannot even describe it, but all I know is...it did nothing complimentary for my skin tone. I'll give this to my friend, who is a blonde with blue eyes. Maybe it will be better on her.
I'm not really excited about this color at all.
I'm not really excited about this color at all. In some lights you couldn't even tell I had it on. I was very disappointed in this color by it's self, but I'm going to try layering it over a darker color like Black Tie Optional and see what I come up with. Otherwise, it's goodbye to this color. This is the first OPI color that I've found that I really don't care for much.
This color is a lavendar taupey with a slight touch of silver.
This color is a lavendar taupey with a slight touch of silver. On my feet and hands, it doesn't do much for me. In fact, it blends in and under certain lights it doesn't look like I'm wearing nailcolor. Because its so neutral, it neither enhances nor makes my skin look bad. An inoffensive color imo for me at least. Still, I give it a 4 rating because I do like this color, however boring it is...perfect when I don't want to bring too much attention to my hands or feet.
I'm honestly very surprised that this has received such high reviews.
I'm honestly very surprised that this has received such high reviews. I ordered this sight unseen online, and when I first saw it in the bottle I was kind of disappointed. It looked like just a boring muted grey/lavender that wouldn't work for this warm-toned girl. I was pretty much right, it wasn't as bad as I expected though. It's a sheer-ish lavender/grey. Wyatt Earple Purple is from OPI's spring/summer 1999 Wild West collection. I wouldn't buy this again.
