Long long longtime user of Shaper. Not anymore. I have no idea why I didn't try this sooner. Smells better than Shaper and is a drier hold, which I like a lot.

Do.Not.Like.So, my hair...I bleach the crap out of it. Like high-lift from raven brunette to level 9/10 blonde. I have a pixie cut, so it's irrelevant that I bleach the crap out of it...I have no frog-fur because it's cut so often.That being said, even with the cuts, I do take very good care of my hair BECAUSE I bleach the crap out of it, which is the other reason it stays nice. Lots of gentle shampooing and deep conditioning, very little heat styling and a good heat protector when I do heat style. My hair, despite the bleach, is in surprisingly good shape.How on earth this could be called Drench is beyond me. It somehow manages to be both not enough conditioning AND weigh my hair down all at the same time. I assume it's the silicones in it, since my hair was very shiny but not very conditioned.And, it makes my scalp itch like you would not believe. It smells nice, but 24 hours of trying to scratch my scalp off is not good. This one is being returned for the allergic reaction/itch part, but I'd avoid it based on it's lack of performance.

Number of hairspray reviews I've written before this one. Zero. Why? Because it's hairspray. You spray it, it holds...if not you toss it & buy a different brand. Until this. THIS. I still don't know if this is actually hairspray or sorcery. My hair is super fine and super thin. Whatever you're imagining it as now, it's even more fine and thin than that. I use dry shampoo to spray into my roots for any volume it's willing to give me. Usually I have to re-curl my hair after the short amount of time it takes to curl it because it's so fine & thin that the curl is gone before I finish & can actually spray it. I'm talking about 5-10 minutes tops & it's gone. I purchased this online after saw a sale for it, and even then I bought 2 travel sized versions to try out (one of this & the other of whatever the gravity one is that Sebastian makes) because even on sale I wasn't going to spend that much on a can of flipping hairspray. Tried it out with low-to-no expectations and was incredible. I'm used to having to spray anything at least a foot and a half away from my head because my hair is so fine & thin that it gets blown & then stuck that way when I typically spray anything. Which is great for when you're on your way to work and people wonder what happened to your face as you're just starting the day. However, this went on smooth and fairly even. I'm used to not touching it until it dries or it's shot for the day. This dried in under a minute-maybe less, but I still don't want to touch it sooner just in case. It held the curl all day. I could even run my fingers through my hair...and I did. All day. Got home and looked in the mirror expecting to look like a crazy person, but it looked exactly like when I left in the morning-which never happens. Brushed it before bed, went to brush my teeth, and it still looked that way. My hair even feels good with the spray in it. I've never been so impressed with a hairspray. Never been particular to one or another, but out of easily 100 kinds I've ever tried this is the first that blew me away.

I got a travel size of this in a glossybox, and to begin with I mostly used it for travel and on the go. Lately I've been trying to use up a lot of products, this being on of those. It's a medium hold, non-sticky and non-crunchy hairspray. Since I don't brush my hair between washes (curly hair that looks awful if brushed) I can't really tell if the claim of being able to brush out and "re-shape" is true, but I do appreciate that it doesn't leave a sticky residue behind. I mostly spray onto my roots for volume, and it doesn't feel dirty and gross on a second or third day of using it. The smell I don't love someone said it smelled like grape, but to me it smells a bit like orange. Either way, it's quite strong, though luckily it doesn't linger too much. To me the price is definitely too high for what you're getting, and what you're getting is an average product, nothing spectacular.

Good shampoo, but there's nothing special about it. Very overpriced for what it is.Sebastian's Drench shampoo has a thick, creamy texture and it lathers up nicely. Cleanses well and rinses out thoroughly. But as far as it being a moisturizing shampoo, I didn't notice anything extraordinary. If you're looking for a really good moisturizing shampoo, ones that I would recommend over this one are: Philip Kingsley Moisture Extreme, Joico Moisture Recovery, Neutrogena Triple Moisture, or Nexxus Therappe.For reference my hair is thick, wavy-textured, color treated and I heat-style it regularly. It has a tendency to get dried out, so it's important that I take care of it with the right products. Unfortunately this is not something that I would buy again.This wasn't a BAD shampoo per se, but it's definitely not worth the price tag. I wasn't impressed.
