Brandi (@livwithbiv) is back with another swatch video and this time, she's reviewing the new Essie Gel Couture Brilliant Brocades Collection. The collection includes 6 rich jewel tones in Essie's 2-step Gel Couture formula. Let's get a closer look at the collection with Brandi!

High Sewciety

This color applies in 1-2 coats. Brandi used one coat in the live swatch and 2 coats in her swatch photo. The color is described as a cool-toned taupe with refined tone-on-tone pearl. Brandi had no complaints about this color and she said it reminds her of the old pantyhose we used to wear.

Brandi applied 3 coats of this color in the live swatch and 2 coats in the swatch photo. It's on the sheer side after one coat. It's described as a mid-toned plum with a creme finish. Brandi says that after 3 coats of this color, it appears more on the darker side (closer to a black, similar to the color Wicked).

Brandi said this formula is to die for. The color applies in 1-2 coats, similar to High Sewciety. It's described as a slate blue with grey undertones and tone-on-tone pearl.

This color applies in 1-2 coats, similar to High Sewciety & Brocade Crusade. It's described as a blackened purple with tone-on-tone shimmer. Brandi said she loves this color! Out of all the colors in the collection, this was her favorite.

This was the color Brandi said she was looking forward to the most from the collection. The color applies in 2-3 coats (the first coat is sheer). It's described as a vibrant green-based teal with tone-on-tone pearl.

Brandi said this color applies in 1-2 coats and she absolutely loved this formula. She did one coat in the swatch photo and 2 coats in the live swatch. The color is described as a mid-toned creamy blue-based pink. She highly recommends this color!
