Kinetics is a professional gel system built for salons: color, bases, builders, prep liquids, and tools that are designed to work together. What sets it apart is that every gel product we carry from the brand is HEMA-free, from the Shield bases to the builders and prep liquids.
Kinetics is now at Beyond Polish. Below: who's behind the brand, how to choose a Shield base, the difference between the two builder types, the prep steps that stop lifting, and the best sellers so far.
Kinetics was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Latvia, with products sold in more than 40 countries. Its formulas come from an in-house R&D lab and are made in an SGS-certified facility that follows GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards. Kinetics says it was the first brand to introduce a HEMA-free gel polish, and HEMA-free is the standard across its Shield line today.
Why HEMA-free matters: HEMA is one of the most common causes of gel allergies.
Removing it lowers the risk of itching, redness, and peeling, especially for clients who've reacted to gel before. Our guide to what HEMA-free means explains it in detail.
Kinetics joins our full lineup of HEMA-free gel polish brands.
The base coat does most of the work in a gel mani, and Kinetics makes one for each nail type. Pick by how your natural nails behave:
Fiber Base and Ceramic Base both come in clear and in tinted nudes such as Light Sand #929, Natural Pink #902, and Milky White #906, so a single base can double as a natural-looking finish. Shop every shade in the Fiber Base and Ceramic Base collections.

Kinetics makes two kinds of builder, and they do different jobs. Gel in Bottle is a light, self-leveling hard gel that you brush on straight from the bottle. It's made for short to medium overlays on natural nails, it doesn't need filing, and a full set takes about 20 minutes. Jelly Gel is a thick, thixotropic gel in a pot that holds its shape while you sculpt extensions with pinching or upper forms. Both are low-heat, so they cure without a burning sensation.

Kinetics' best-selling Jelly Gel Strong #900 Clear, made for extra-long extensions, is selling out fast, so check the Classic Gel collection to see if it's back. For builder gels from every brand, see our builder gel collection, and read why HEMA-free builder gel matters.
Three Kinetics prep liquids made our best-seller list, and each one does a different job. All three air-dry, so there's no cure step:
- Dehydrator removes moisture and oil from the nail plate. Use it before every service.
- Primer is an acid-based adhesion boost for oily nails or nails that tend to lift. Use it on those clients and skip it on everyone else.
- Bonder is an acid-free adhesion promoter for everyday wear. It's gentler on normal nails and works with gel polish, hard gel, and acrylic gel.

Shield gel polish is HEMA-free and TMPTA-free, streak-free in thin coats, and cures in LED, UV/LED, and UV lamps. Each black matte bottle has a cap hand-painted in the actual shade, so you can find a color on your shelf at a glance. These are the colors getting the most attention so far:

Kinetics FAQ
Is Kinetics gel polish HEMA-free?
Yes. The Kinetics Shield gel polishes, bases, tops, builders, and prep liquids we carry are HEMA-free. That reduces the risk of skin reactions like itching, redness, and peeling. The Shield gel polishes are also TMPTA-free.
Where is Kinetics made?
Kinetics is a professional nail brand headquartered in Latvia. It was founded in 2003 and is sold in more than 40 countries.
What's the difference between Kinetics Shield Fiber Base and Ceramic Base?
Fiber Base has nylon fibers that reinforce thin, delicate nails, with a flexible rubber structure. Ceramic Base is firmer and holds its shape on long or soft nails, and it can build extensions up to 2 mm. Kinetics rates both for up to 28 days of wear.
What's the difference between Kinetics Gel in Bottle and Jelly Gel?
Gel in Bottle is a self-leveling hard gel you brush on like gel polish. It's made for short to medium overlays on natural nails and doesn't need filing. Jelly Gel is a thick, thixotropic builder for sculpting extensions with pinching or upper forms.
Should I use Kinetics Primer or Bonder?
Start with Dehydrator either way. Use Primer, which is acid-based, if your nails are oily or prone to lifting. Use Bonder, which is acid-free, for everyday adhesion on normal nails. Both air-dry, so there's no curing step.
