How To Apply Madam Glam Pudding Gels

Tips & Tricks:

  • Before applying, wet the Nail Application Brush in a little base coat
  • Do not take too much product at one time
  • Base & Top Coats are required
  • You can apply two thin coats to achieve your desired effect
  • Your manicure will last up to 3-4 weeks

Steps:

  1. Prep your nails: Ensure all cuticles are removed and pushed back from the nail plate, buff the nail to remove shine & clean with alcohol to remove any oil or dust.
  2. Apply one later of regular base coat gel and cure for 30 seconds under an LED lamp.
  3. Apply a very thin coat of the pudding gel and evenly spread onto the nail using the application brush. (Cure for 1 minute under LED lamp or 2 minutes if using a UV lamp). NOTE: When applying the pudding gel, start at the middle of the nail and work down to the edge. The work up to the cuticle and back down.
  4. Repeat this process with a second layer of pudding gel.
  5. Apply one later of regular top coat gel and cure for 30-60 seconds under an LED lamp.

Traditional Gel vs Pudding Gel: What's the difference?

Technology: Pudding gel is made with high pressure technology, which makes it a solid form. This means that they are non-floating or non-leveling, which prevents leaking and makes it easier to apply, ship & store.

Texture: When working with gel polish, you have to be extra careful not to get it on the cuticle or surrounding sidewalls of the nails, as this makes it a little more difficult when it's time to cure. Pudding gel is basically "solid gel polish". This allows you to have more control over how the product is applied and you won't have to worry about flooding the cuticles, which is perfect for beginners.

Application: Traditional gel polish comes with a brush inside the bottle. Pudding gel comes in a little pot and you need to get a UV gel brush to use with the product for application. On top of that, pudding gel is extremely pigmented, meaning you can get away with only applying a single layer to achieve your desired look. Not only will this make this help make your manicure lighter, it's also time- and product-saving.

Storage: Because pudding gels are solid form, they are easier to store. You won't have to worry about any leakage.

Durability: When it comes to durability, both gel polish and pudding gel have about the same length of wear. The average gel manicure lasts around 2-3 weeks. The more you prep your nails before application, the longer your manicure will last.

Removal: Removal process is pretty much the same as well when it comes to gel polish and pudding gels. You begin with filing off the top coat, then wrap your nails in cotton pads soaked with acetone, clean the softened gel, then apply cuticle oil. The only difference we can see here is that you may save a little more time when removing pudding gel because of the thinner layers.

Takeaways

Overall, whether you're a pro or beginner with gel polish, pudding gel is worth a try. You've got nothing to lose. If you're a beginner who's looking to start using gel polish, this is the perfect product for you. If you're a seasoned professional, pudding gel is easy to blend, which makes it great for nail art.
