Why did you start your nail page? I was looking for a creative outlet where I could share fashion & beauty inspiration. When I was looking on Instagram for swatches to help me decide what to wear for my wedding, I noticed that there was not a lot of minimalist nail polish content. This prompted me to create my own page to share effortless, chic looks.

Why do you love Beyond Polish? I am a total control freak and when I would get my nails done in the salon I would always have the thought in the back of my head that I could do them better myself. Not to mention, getting my nails done at the salon every two weeks was a big investment and I was trying to save money at the time for wedding expenses. I was determined to have gorgeous long nails and decided to invest in an at-home setup. I came across Beyond Polish online and I got my first high-quality OPI curing lamp, some basic colors (Bubble Bath, Funny Bunny, Mimosas for the Mr. & Mrs.) and all the supplies I needed to do a basic gel manicure myself. Since then, I have been hooked on gel manicures and love doing my nails at home. I am so thankful that Beyond Polish carries so many amazing brands and is a great one-stop shop!

What is your favorite nail polish color? It is so hard to choose just one but right now I love OPI, Baby Take a Vow. This polish has been a staple of mine since the get-go. It is a simple, sheer nude/pink that will never go out of style and is the perfect base for nail art or on its own.

What is your favorite nail polish brand? OPI for gel polish, Essie or Londontown for normal lacquer

Do you prefer long or short nails? I prefer natural nails, short/medium length, in a squoval shape. I usually keep them short because I am always on the go hiking with my dogs or gardening. I find short nails to be more practical for my lifestyle. However, I am tempted to try Gel-X or OPI Dip Powder to do a longer almond/oval nail length as I love to try new things & share this content on my page.

What is your favorite thing in the nail community? The nail polish community is so supportive and kind! I strongly believe that self-care is so important and for a lot of people that includes their weekly at-home manicure or visit to the salon. It is always the highlight of my day when someone messages me that they love my nail polish content and use it for their own manicure.

What is your first memory of nail polish? I have always loved polish and remember having so much fun painting my nails growing up and attempting to do my own nail art. Growing up I had the terrible habit of ripping my nails whenever I got anxious or completely picking off my polish if one started to chip. Once I discovered gel polish, thankfully, that allowed me to kick that bad habit!

If you had to be 1 nail polish color what would it be? OPI Lisbon Wants Moor gel polish with Daily Charme white chrome powder. I wore OPI Lisbon Wants Moor for almost a year and it is the most perfect milky/pink shade. I will always love a pretty, girly polish. Plus with chrome on top, it is soo shiny and gorgeous!
