A new season means fun nail art and manicure trends. Most of them have actually been around, but we tend to see these styles particularly popular in the spring time. We're going to break down some of the hottest nail trends we think we'll see this season.
Pastel Nails
Pastel nail colors continue to be a spring staple, so we won't be surprised if we see a lot of these shades popping up. OPI recently launched their new spring 2023 collection, which is full of vibrant pastels and shimmers. There are many different ways you can rock pastel nail colors this season. You can keep it simple and choose your fave. You can go for a skittles mani, choosing 3-5 of your favorite pastels. It you want a more chic look, you can also do a modern French manicure (creating pastel tips instead of the traditional white). The possibilities are endless!
Nude Nails
There's a new trend popping up on our socials and it's called "lip gloss nails". Essentially you just take your favorite nude nail color and then apply a super glossy top coat. Sheer nails are also on the rise. People opt for this look because it's low maintenance and it's the perfect ways to give your nails that flawless, natural look.
Sheer Nails
Speaking of sheer nails, we expect to see the popular glazed donut nail trend continue to be a big trend going into the new year. Some of our bestselling nail polishes are, in fact, sheer. They include OPI Bubble Bath, OPI Funny Bunny, CND Negligee, CND Beau, to name a few.
Aura Nails
This look can be achieved with an airbrush technique, but can also be done with some magnetic nail polish. The aura nail art design is usually a circular gradient look. To do this look, you'd start by picking your base color. Then choose another color or two in order to create the gradient. If you're doing this with magnetic nail polish, simply use the magnetic wand to manipulate the particles from all four sides of the nail to create that circular design.
Glitter Nails
Textured nails are also expected to be big this spring. From elaborate embellishments to something as simple as using a glitter polish, it's all about creating dimension with this nail art trend.
Barely-There French Manicure
If you have short nails or looking to step away from extensions for a bit, the barely-there French (also known as Micro French or baby French) is in this spring! It's essentially the same as any French manicure. The only difference is the thickness of the French tip. This look can be achieved on acrylic, gel, or natural nails. You can stay neutral with a classic white, or change it up with colored tips for a chic or edgy look (depending on what you choose).
Modern French
The modern French manicure is nothing new, but still expected to be a hot nail trend this spring. Think skittles mani meets French mani. Choose your favorite pastel or spring nail colors and create colorful tips to complete your look. There are no rules, just have fun with it!
