One of my favorite colors.
This polish is pretty but kinda meh, it's opaque in 3 coats and fairly chip resistant but it wasn't really anything special. So I put a coat of Fairy Dust over it and it was much more interesting, however since I am reviewing just Rainbow on it's own, I would have to say I would not repurchase this.
Ive been wearing this color excusively for 10 years. It matches everything and if you put on 3 coats you get the most opalescent color that is magnificent......YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.....you can find on ebay for 3.95..put in china glaze rainbow.....
Very pretty. China Glaze's Rainbow is a sheer-ish, opalescent polish that looks pink in some lighting and white in others. It's in the same family of shades as Pacifica's Unicorn Horn and Zoya's Leia. If you like colors like that, then this one will probably be worth checking out.Good formula too, but slightly runny. Opaque after two carefully applied coats, and no problems with wear.Great polish overall, would definitely buy it again.
China Glaze "Rainbow" (China Rain collection, Spring/Summer 2001) White/Pink metallic"Rainbow" is an "oldie but goodie" of the China Glaze core line, having been around for 15 years and making the jump from non-3-free to 3-free."Rainbow" was a surprise. I honestly did not expect it to get to anywhere near opacity, as a lot of these older polishes were meant to be worn sheer, but "Rainbow" really wowed. It actually got opaque enough to wear as a pedi at two coats, building to a white base with a pink flash. If I was wearing it as a mani, I probably would have done three coats though. I'd say "Rainbow"'s just a little too opaque to wear as a topper though. What I Like:* China Glaze's brush and bottle are easy to use as always. It's also pretty cheap ($7.50-$8.00) for a high quality brand that has 14ml/.5 fl oz.* Beautiful polish that's dainty without being sheer* Strong pink flashWhat I didn't like:* Can't be worn as a top coat easily.Dupes: Closest thing I have to it is CG's "Temptation Carnation", which is sheerer (definitely needs three coats) and has little silver glitter in it.Would I buy it again? Absolutely. It's easily one of the best delicate white polishes out there.Would I recommend it? If you're looking for a white/pink metallic polish that actually builds to opaque, "Rainbow" is your new best friend.
