Description

CND Shellac Wear Extender Base Coat offers 3 weeks wear and extends the wear of gel polish while smoothing imperfections and ridges when used as directed. Shellac Wear Extender Base Coat creates an even nail surface for easy application while improving the nail appearance. Easy 10-minute removal when used with Xpress top coat. Features a new curve hugging brush that have 200+ bristles that adapt to the nail for better coverage and application.

Shellac Key Features:
• Coating is UV cured. radiation, using UV3 technology. Applies like a polish, wears like a gel.
• Provides long lasting and uniform nail color.
• Offers a revolutionary new nail service.
• Provides 14-day wear.
• Hypoallergenic.

Instructions for use:
• Be sure to shake the Shellac bottle for at least 1 minute to make the mixture homogeneous.
• After applying Shellac Base Coat and curing, apply a thin, even layer of Color Coat on all 5 nails of one hand.
• Dry all 5 fingers in a CND lamp for 2 minutes.
• Repeat with other hand.
• Apply a second coat of color in the same way.
• Then apply Shellac Top Coat.

Ingredients and Benefits:
• 3-Free formula: free of formaldehyde, toluene and dibutyl phthalate.
• Highly stable form of natural polymer.
• Cellulose used, highly resistant to discoloration.
• Monomer used to increase strength.
• Solvent used to mix all ingredients or dissolve color.

I was sooo excited to try, because my nails have ridges and I thought this would help with coverage.

It’s awful. I’ve never had issues with shellac peeling in less than 2 weeks until this base coat, and the two times I’ve used it, it has started peeling in 5 days. Just as bad, it is so thick that it creates unevenness near the edge of the nail on my hand, leading to more of the color and top coats pooling in the gaps. The 2nd time I used, I gave up after one hand and used the original base on the other. The hand using the original base went on smooth and is wearing fine.

Worth it!

Trade up from regular base. So, so worth it.

Lengthen wearing time

10 days and still there is no sign of any peeling. And I do home errands including dishes :)
