ella+mila - Mango Pop - .24oz

This mask was sitting on my shelf for a while before I started using it. But when I did I was more than impressed. A friend working in cosmetic industry recommended the Ella Bache brand as one suited for problematic skin (such as mine) so I purchased this mask on a whim and then forgot about. Rediscovered during cleaning of my bathroom and used regularly for the last year or so until I run out today. I was using quite a generous layer of the mask each time I applied it and the 200ml package lasted me a little over a year. This is probably the only cleansing mask I have used which is not too drying. It is very effective, calms the skin down, pulls dirt to the surface and when I wash it off my face my skin feels unexpectedly moisturized and nourished. The only drawback is mentioned in other reviews the fishy smell but since it's a mask you wash off you only have to suffer through that during the time the mask is on your face after you wash it off the smell doesn't linger.

If you're looking for a mask to use for the whole face, I wouldn't recommend this product. It would be very expensive and such a waste to use for the whole face. It was $60 CAD when I bought it. I use it as a spot treatment for my pimples. I just put some on at night during my last step of my skincare routine and usually the next day, the pimple is smaller and less red. I LOVE to use it for that but I would never use it as a mask for my face because for the price and how many times you use it, it's not worth it at all. I don't think using it as a mask does anything either for me.....

This product is okay, it didn;t really clear up my breakouts but it did prevent them from getting bigger/redder.I believe it works like any other clay based masks I've tried, though a tonne more expensive!!

My favorite mask, smells really bad but leaves skin so soft, clean and fresh. Great when dabbed onto pimples and left overnight. The only downfall is the fish smell.

If you buy Masque Intex, you should also buy a 10-pack of cheap washcloths to go with it, because as mentioned below, the fishy stink does cling for a while. With the cheapies you can just throw it in the wash as soon as you've washed off the masque. That said, this absolutely does help soothe and reduce redness on zits. Works well all over or as a spot treatment, and helps soften scabs from picking (yeah, I pick my zits, so sue me). Maybe Ella Bache could find a way to utilize the technology in those "odorless" fish-oil capsules...?
