This is a very deep blue with a touch of shimmer. I have a super shiny topcoat on as well.
I love Essie's Aruba Blue Nail Polish! I've been wearing it for 7 years. It goes perfectly with my wardrobe all year around, which almost always includes jeans. I think it's the prettiest blue on the market today.
Beautiful witchy colour! Would buy again! Goes on opaque in 2-3 coats. Used with Seche Vite. Pretty durable. Usual Essie brush so not especially great or standout but A+ black with fine thick silver shimmer resulting in a smoke grey :)
Aruba Blue is a gorgeous, glowy, almost metallic looking shade of blue. It is a very striking colour, it is a nice medium-dark shade of blue which is brightened up with the metallic shimmer laced in the polish. It looks great on all skin tones, from the palest to the darkest, and also suits all undertones. The formula is excellent, only two coats are needed to reach full opacity. It doesn't apply with streaks or patches, and dries quickly. However, I would recommend using a topcoat to enchance the shine. I wore this polish for around 5 days when paired with base and top coat, and I find this to be the expected wear time for Essie polishes. I love this polish and have received a lot of compliments whilst wearing it. This is a lovely shade of blue from Essie and I would happily recommend it to anyone.
I love getting Essie polishes at bargain prices and I snagged this one at TJ Maxx. I was in the mood for dark polishes a couple of months ago when winter was approaching. I picked up Tribal Text-Styles along with a couple of other shades and I'm glad I did. I have Essie's Licorice and Tribal Text-Styles is a nice variation on the black polish theme. It looks more glittery in the bottle than how it applies. The glitter/shimmer is very light and application is great nice, opaque coverage without any runs or streaks. The result is a beautiful gunmetal shade. Another winner from Essie!
