This is a fun rich burgundy colour. Paired with short nails, it's quite a sophisticated look. The icing on the cake was that it was free at Beauty Express with a coupon from Marie Claire! I would still spend good money on it though! Cheers!

Cabernet for the Lady is a very pretty deep berry wine/red. I find the shade very similar to Bogota Blackberry but a tad lighter and more purple in tone. However, my skintone really can't do this polish justice because alas I am too warm toned (MAC C7). The application was a breeze, two coats offered great opacity. No, I missed out on the MC coupon but I found this color in the Trade Secret clearance bin about a year ago. It's taken me a while to wear this polish but that's because I have lots of lots of bottle to go through :) In the bottle the color looks like a deep wine burgundy with shimmer. On my nails, the color is more pink, not as dark and the shimmer not as noticeable. The shimmer adds a metallic looking finish, not garish or OTT, but just enough to set this color apart from the cremes.The application was a bit streaky on the first coat but not a problem on the 2nd coat. I do notice that this polish is a bit thicker than other OPI polishes, not sure whether its due to the pigments in this color or if my bottle is old. A drop of thinner solved that problem. Its day 3 of my manicure and so far no chips, not even along the edge. But will see how well this survives after I clean the stove the later today!For reference I'm Stila 30 watts, Chanel Beige, and GA LSF 5.5

Unlike the others, I missed out on the Marie Claire coupon, but bought it on eBay for less than retail, so I still feel it was a bargain. This is a med-dark berry shade that has the finish of Bogota Blackberry and the tone and hue (approximately) of Rose To The Ovation from the OPI 2006 Holiday Rockettes collex, which is a shade I LOVE! Needless to say, since BB and RttO are two of my fave reds, I adore this shade even though I didn't snag it for free :( I said that I would not buy it again though because as I said, it's similar to both Bogota and RttO, but very lovely.

Oh be still my beating heart! This colour is simply breathtaking! Cabernet for the Lady is a stunning deep berry-wine with shimmer and a slightly metallic finish. I'm just discovering berry shades having shied away from such colours for far too long, and can say with absolute conviction that this one is definitely becoming a staple of my nail polish collection. I keep my nails very long and tapered and was a little concerned initially that Cabernet for the Lady would look too goth on my hands. I love vampy shades but have recently shifted my attention to more polished, sophisticated colours. This colour looks incredibly sophisticated on my warm-toned skin. I have a medium-to-dark tan (MAC NW35) and find that this colour lends a certain aura of class to my hands. The colour itself reminds me of a plush luxurious velvet evening gown and I feel like such a lady of prestige when I wear this. The quality is, like most other OPI's, fantastic. I wore Cabernet for the Lady for 5 days straight with no chipping and only slight wear around the tips. The application was smooth, stress-free and streak-free. Overall, an absolutely beautiful colour that would be a welcome addition to most people's polish collection. Love it!
